What DoorDing handles, where it goes, and how to delete it.
Qué maneja DoorDing, a dónde va y cómo borrarlo.
Effective date: October 28, 2026
This policy explains what information the DoorDing app and website ("DoorDing") handle, where it goes, and the choices you have. DoorDing is operated by Lazaro Cintero, an individual based in Miami, Florida ("we", "us"). Questions: lazaro.cintero@gmail.com.
The short version
- DoorDing is a work tool for home-service businesses. The information you type in (your business, your leads, quotes, signatures and invoices) is your business data.
- In the iPhone app, that data is stored on your phone. We do not run servers that receive it today.
- We do not sell data, do not show ads, and do not use tracking or advertising SDKs.
- The map uses public records and public map services. Asking those services for a map area tells them which area you are looking at (and your IP address), the same as any map app.
- You can delete everything from inside the app (Settings > Start over > Delete everything).
1. Information you enter
| What | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your business profile | Business name, your name, phone, email, Google review link, services and prices, invoice settings, service area ZIP codes, a "home base" address for routes | To set up the app, print your name and contact details on quotes, invoices and door hangers, and plan routes |
| Payment handles you choose to show customers | Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal handles, or a card payment link (for example a Stripe Payment Link) | Printed on your invoices so your customers can pay you directly |
| Leads and customers | Property address, name, phone, email, notes, visit outcomes (not home, not interested, come back, quote, sold), objections, follow-up times, route day | To run your door-to-door work |
| Quotes, invoices and plans | Line items, prices, tax, due dates, paid/unpaid status, recurring plan details | To bill your customers |
| Signatures | A drawn signature image, printed name, date and time | To record your customer's agreement to a quote or sale |
| Business description for "Other" setup | What you type, for example "mobile car detailing" | To build a custom setup for trades the app does not list |
Information about your customers. When you record a homeowner's name, phone, email or signature, you are the business that collects it. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to keep it and for honoring requests from those people. We do not contact your customers and do not use their information for anything other than showing it back to you.
2. Where your data is stored
- iPhone app: on your device, in the app's private storage (web storage and IndexedDB inside the app). It is included in your device backups according to your iPhone settings. If your phone loses signal, changes are kept on the phone and saved when it reconnects.
- Preview version inside Claude (claude.ai): if you use the DoorDing preview published on claude.ai, your profile, leads and invoices are saved in that page's private storage tied to your Claude account, which Anthropic operates under its own terms and privacy policy. We cannot see other users' data there.
- Our servers: none today. If we add cloud backup, sync between devices, or teams, we will update this policy and ask before moving existing data.
3. Location
If you allow it, DoorDing uses your phone's precise location while the app is open to center the map on you, show "doors near you", and start a route from where you are. Location is used on your device. We do not receive or store your location history. A route "home base" you set is saved in your profile on your device. You can turn location off at any time in iPhone Settings > DoorDing > Location; the app still works and you can pick places on the map by hand.
4. Map, property and satellite data
DoorDing builds its map from public sources and requests map pieces for the area you are viewing:
- U.S. Census Bureau (TIGERweb map layers and the Census Geocoder)
- USDA NAIP aerial imagery served by the U.S. Geological Survey
- USA Structures building footprints (FEMA / Oak Ridge National Laboratory), hosted on Esri ArcGIS Online
- County property appraiser records where a county publishes them (for example Miami-Dade County, Florida and Maricopa County, Arizona)
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim, to look up the address of a spot you tap on the map
- Regrid, only if you enter your own Regrid API key in Settings
- Google Fonts, for the app's typeface
These requests contain the map area or the tapped coordinates, plus technical information every internet request carries (such as your IP address). Each provider handles that under its own policy. We do not send them your leads, customers or invoices.
Property records are public records published by government agencies. DoorDing shows them "as is" to help you decide which doors to knock. Likely-customer scores are estimates, not facts about any person.
5. AI processing
The "Other" trade setup can use an AI model to suggest services, prices, objections and which properties fit your business. When it runs, it receives the business description you typed, your business type, and your service area's city and state. It does not receive your leads, customers, signatures or invoices. In the claude.ai preview, the AI request runs through your own Claude account with your permission. In the iPhone app, AI setup is only offered if we provide it; until then the app uses a built-in setup without AI. If we add an AI service, we will name the provider here.
6. Messages, payments and sharing you start
- Text, WhatsApp and email buttons open the app you choose (Messages, WhatsApp, Mail) with the message filled in. That message is sent by that app and its provider, not by us.
- Payment links and handles (Stripe, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal or others) belong to those companies. Your customer pays you through them. We do not process, see or store your customers' card or bank details.
- Directions open Apple Maps or Google Maps with the stop's coordinates.
- PDFs (invoices, door hangers) are created on your phone and saved or shared where you choose.
7. Subscriptions
DoorDing is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your card number. The app checks your subscription with Apple's StoreKit on your iPhone (for example whether it is active, in a free trial or expired) to unlock features; that check happens on the device and we do not run a server that receives it. Apple may also share limited transaction and sales reports with us as the seller. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchase data.
8. Support emails
If you email lazaro.cintero@gmail.com, we receive your email address and what you write, and we keep it only as long as needed to help you and keep basic records.
9. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs in the app.
- We do not use your data to train AI models.
10. Keeping and deleting data
Your data stays on your device until you delete it.
- Delete everything in the app: Settings > Start over > Delete everything. This erases your business profile, leads, quotes, signatures and invoices from the app on that device, plus its settings on that device (for example your language, map choices and any Regrid API key you entered).
- Delete the app: deleting DoorDing from your iPhone also removes its stored data from that device (copies may remain in your iCloud or computer backups until those backups are replaced).
- Preview inside Claude: use Start over in the preview, or ask us to help.
- Cancel your subscription: iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions > DoorDing. Canceling does not delete your data; deleting does not cancel your subscription.
- Support emails: ask us at lazaro.cintero@gmail.com and we will delete your messages unless we must keep them for legal or accounting reasons.
Step-by-step instructions are on our Delete your data page.
11. Security
Data on your iPhone is protected by iOS app sandboxing and, when your phone has a passcode, by iOS data protection. Connections to map and data services use HTTPS. No method of storage or transfer is perfectly secure; keep your phone locked with a passcode.
12. Children
DoorDing is a business tool for adults. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Your rights
Because your DoorDing data is on your device, you can see, correct, export (print invoices to PDF) and delete it yourself at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access or delete information a business holds about you. Contact lazaro.cintero@gmail.com and we will respond within the time the law requires. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
14. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date and, for material changes (for example adding cloud sync), tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
15. Contact
Email is the fastest way to reach us, including for privacy requests and legal notices (put "Legal notice" in the subject).
