These terms are an agreement between you and Lazaro Cintero, an individual based in Miami, Florida, who operates DoorDing ("DoorDing", "we", "us"). They cover the DoorDing iPhone app, the preview version, and the website at doording.pages.dev (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use DoorDing for a company, you agree for that company and confirm you can bind it.
1. Who can use DoorDing
DoorDing is a business tool for adults. You must be at least 18 and use it for your trade or business, not for personal, family or household purposes. The iPhone app is offered on the App Store in the United States only.
2. Free trial and subscription
- New subscribers get a 14-day free trial. After the trial the subscription is $24.99 per month (or the price shown in the App Store in your country) until you cancel. There is no contract or cancellation fee.
- Subscriptions are bought and billed through Apple's App Store under your Apple Account. Payment is charged when you confirm the purchase after the trial. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancel or manage it in iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. We cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.
- If we change the price, Apple will notify you as its rules require, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
3. Your data and your customers' data
- You own the information you put into DoorDing (your business details, leads, quotes, signatures and invoices). You give us only the permission needed to run the Service for you.
- In the iPhone app your data is stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device and backups safe. We cannot recover data that is deleted from or lost with your device.
- When you record people's names, phone numbers, emails, addresses or signatures, you are the business collecting that information. You must have a lawful reason to collect and use it and must handle it as the law requires.
4. Your responsibilities when selling door to door
DoorDing helps you organize your sales. You are the seller, and you are responsible for following every law that applies to your business, including:
- The FTC Cooling-Off Rule (16 CFR Part 429). For covered sales made at a buyer's home ($25 or more) or at certain temporary locations ($130 or more), you must tell the buyer about the right to cancel until midnight of the third business day, give a receipt or contract with the cancellation statement, give two copies of the Notice of Cancellation filled in with your name, address, the date and the deadline, and refund within 10 business days of a valid cancellation. DoorDing can add a cancellation statement and Notice of Cancellation forms to at-home invoices as a convenience. You must confirm they are complete and correct for each sale, give them to the buyer, explain them orally, and honor cancellations. Many states, including Florida, add their own home-solicitation rules.
- Local solicitation rules: peddler or solicitor permits, "No Soliciting" signs, Do Not Knock lists, permitted hours and HOA rules.
- Licensing and permits for your trade (for example contractor licensing for roofing, windows, HVAC or solar work).
- Texts, calls and emails: consent and opt-out rules (for example the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and CAN-SPAM) when you contact customers. The QR code on DoorDing door hangers starts a text from the homeowner to you; replying and following up is up to you.
- Electronic signatures: DoorDing records a drawn signature, printed name, date and time. Whether a signature is enforceable depends on your documents and the law (for example the federal ESIGN Act and Florida's Uniform Electronic Transaction Act). Keep your own copies and get a paper signature where the law requires it.
- Taxes, pricing and invoices: you set your prices, tax rates and terms and are responsible for their accuracy.
5. Property data, maps and scores are "as is"
- Property information comes from public records and public map services (for example county property appraisers, the U.S. Census Bureau, USDA/USGS aerial imagery and FEMA/ORNL building footprints). It can be outdated, incomplete or wrong, and coverage varies by county. It is provided "as is" without any warranty.
- "Likely customer" scores, reasons (for example "pool on the property" or "new owner"), drive times, distances and routes are estimates to help you plan. They are not statements about any person and are not guarantees of a sale.
- Do not use DoorDing or its data to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or housing, or to harass, stalk or discriminate against anyone.
6. AI-generated setup
The "Other" trade setup may use an AI model to suggest services, prices, objections and which properties to target. AI suggestions can be wrong. Review and edit every price and statement before you use it with customers.
7. Payments to you
DoorDing does not process payments between you and your customers. Payment links and handles you add (for example Stripe, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App or PayPal) are services of those companies under their own terms. We are not responsible for those services, for chargebacks, or for collecting money your customers owe you.
8. Acceptable use
Do not: break the law with the Service; copy, resell or scrape the Service or its data in bulk; try to get around subscription checks; interfere with the Service or the public data services it uses; or upload content that is illegal or that you have no right to use.
9. Our software
We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app while your subscription or trial is active. We may update, change or stop features. We will try to give notice of major changes that reduce what you paid for.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app (including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims). If the app fails to conform to any warranty that applies by law, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies where these terms do not address something.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid for DoorDing in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims by third parties (including your customers and government agencies) that arise from your sales, your business practices, the information you collect, or your breach of these terms or the law.
14. Ending
You can stop using DoorDing and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the law. Sections 3, 5, 7 and 10–16 continue after termination.
15. Florida law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing a claim, contact us at lazaro.cintero@gmail.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction; either of us may instead bring an eligible claim in small claims court.
16. General
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to a company we form to run DoorDing or in a sale of the business. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the Service. We may update these terms; we will change the effective date and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they apply.
17. Contact and legal notices
Send questions and legal notices by email to lazaro.cintero@gmail.com (for notices, put "Legal notice" in the subject). Notices by email are effective when we receive them. Claims that the app infringes intellectual property can also be sent to Apple through its App Store dispute form (https://www.apple.com/legal/intellectual-property/dispute-forms/).
